Remote National Title Curative/Title Clearance Specialist Direct Hire

We are looking for a Remote National Title Curative/Title Clearance Specialist responsible for handling large volumes of files for residential real estate transactions, nationally. The Title Curative/Title Clearance Specialist must have excellent customer service skills to communicate with clients, salespeople, attorneys and underwriters.

Your specific duties will include:

• Read and clear purchase and refinance transactions; for residential transactions
• Examine abstracts, leases, contracts, and other legal documents to determine title insurance and legal issues in connection with title insurance commitments/reports
• Works with title agency, clients and attorneys representing parties to a real estate transaction to clear title exceptions and prepare the title for closing
• Ability to prepare and/or review both Owner and Loan Policies for appropriate exceptions
• Reviewing and knowledge of Title Bills/Invoices.
• Experience with Surveys, Survey Readings, Real Estate Taxes, Recordings and Escrows
• Experience with both New York and National transactions.

Specific qualifications for the position include:

• 5+ years of Title Curative/Title Clearance experience – Required
• Experience working residential real estate title files on a national basis – Required
• Experience with SoftPro Select – Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree – Preferred
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a high production environment
