The following guidelines will help employees perform their job safely. Employees are encouraged to follow these rules on every assignment. Any questions that may arise regarding the working conditions, injuries, etc. must be directed immediately to Workway, Inc.
- If a client requests the employee to perform duties which are different than, or in addition to, the original assignment, the employee must first obtain permission from a Workway, Inc. recruiter. Employee must not perform any task that he/she is not trained to do.
- Employee must immediately report to a Workway, Inc. recruiter any working conditions or practices which may cause injury to his/herself and/or other employees.
- Required SAFETY EQUIPMENT MUST BE WORN while working.
- Employees are not permitted to operate machinery, automotive or truck equipment nor are permitted to handle cash, negotiables, or other valuables. Under certain circumstances, some of the above conditions can be waived upon a written liability release.
- Workway, Inc. strives to maintain a drug and alcohol free work environment. Therefore, Workway, Inc. enforces a strict ZERO TOLERANCE drug and alcohol policy.
- Employees must not lift anything that cannot be lifted comfortably, must never lift items weighing more than 50 lbs or anything employee feels is too heavy. When lifting, employees must use the following technique: bend knees, grasp the object with the palms of hands, and then raise the load keeping back as straight as possible.
- Under no circumstances should employees perform an assignment which causes undue physical or mental discomfort. It is the employee’s responsibility to immediately (within 24 hours) report an uncomfortable situation or injury to a recruiter.
- Whenever the employee is involved in any accident that results in personal injury or damage to property, the accident must be reported to Workway, Inc. immediately.
- Participate in all safety improvement activities.
By law, employees are required to report injuries covered under workers compensation within 24 hours. Any on-the-job injury must be reported to a recruiter and/or Workway, Inc. Human Resources at firstname.lastname@example.org or (972) 514-1515.
All injured employees should be sent to the nearest designated emergency room or urgent care facility by the onsite supervisor or recruiter.
